Design Overview
Following first-year product growth, we designed a new template system to create a more consistent experience across the platform. We evaluated product changes, user needs, and common behavior patterns, then built a modular system that balanced contextual flexibility with global consistency. The result is a more efficient, effective experience for contractors managing their asphalt and paving businesses.
UX/UI Redesign
We began with a complex product view for the supplier backlog to highlight how the new template system would work. We also built communication guides for developers to understand the new system and how to implement it. The image below shows the revised UX/UI design (with placeholder content) for the initial product page — the supplier backlog.
UX Design & Prototyping
We always start by deeply understanding the problem, users, and context. Through a focused UX phase, we collaborate with field experts and stakeholders to define personas, create empathy maps, evaluate competition, and clarify user motivations and pain points. These insights guided design exploration, from sketches and user flows to low- and high-fidelity prototypes refined through feedback.

Product Views
We designed dozens of product screens across the platform, from estimating and proposals to invoicing and asset management. At its core is the estimating worksheet—the primary workspace where contractors manage bids and fine-tune margins. Designed for the complexity of asphalt contracting, the platform removes significant overhead and allows detailed estimates to be sent in a fraction of the time.
